Winter Wedding | Alexandra and Andrew | LDS Bride Blog

Okay you guys, I have such a fun one to share with you today! I was recently contacted by the sweetest bride to share her enchanting winter wedding and her beautiful customized modest gown.

Winter Wedding | Alexandra and Andrew

So before we get into the pictures and the gorgeous details of this winter wedding, let me share their love story with you. I can't think of any person who could tell it better than the bride herself, so I'll tell you exactly what she told me! "I was born and raised in Colorado, big time Denver Bronco's fan (he is too now), outdoors lover, lacrosse player, and chocolate addict. He was born and raised in Idaho, and lived in Ririe, Idaho all of growing up. He is an awesome basketball player, big lover of Mexican food, binges on pizza and Netflix with me, and is also a total outdoors lover. I could go on and on about his qualities now so I'll just leave it at this- he's honestly just the man of my dreams. We met in college at a country dance, which is kind of funny because both of our parents met at a dance too... dances are lucky places for our families apparently! It was also funny that he was there because... he doesn't dance. Haha. His friend had him come for the last part of the dance that night, and it just so happened that that friend that drug him there that night was also a friend of mine that taught me how to country dance. Our mutual friend found me and said he wanted to me to come dance with his pal he had brought, and I wasn't really wanting to at first, but after asking a couple of times, I went with him to his friend (little did I know he was taking me to my husband!)... and lo and behold, there stood this tall dark and handsome man 😍. We danced to the last song of the night, (it was cute that he didn't know the steps, but we were more focused on talking to each other anyways) and the rest is history!" So there you have it. Isn't that such a cute story??

Alexandra and Andrew were sealed in the Logan, UT temple in January. They celebrated their beautiful winter wedding with a reception at The Serano Event center in Rigby, ID and as you'll see, it was a dream! Beautiful whites and warm colors, beautiful lights, and of course, snow! (you can't have a winter wedding without snow, right?) Alexandra's bouquet was perfect against the snowy landscape, with an assortment of rich greenery created by the master florists at Freckle Farm. Their cake was a white cake with raspberry filling and a white chocolate buttercream, with ribbons of naked cake subtly showing through and an adornment of beautiful green. Just lovely. She said it was so delicious that they couldn't even save any for their one year anniversary! Julie Brizzee must know her stuff!!

Alexandra chose the perfect gown for her magical winter wedding. She bought it at Amanda's Bridal and Tux in Colorado and had it altered for modesty. Kirsten Arvenitis from The Original Sewing Room in Parker, CO worked her magic and custom made the top of the dress to cover her garments. It turned out so beautiful! I love the illusion lace and the lace details along the skirt.

I hope you love this beautiful winter wedding as much as I do! I love a happy ending.
